Mountain Magic Swing Competition is a small event held each November in South Lake Tahoe,
NV. On the recommendation of our close friends & neighbors Robert & Adel, we went for the dance competition,
but mostly for the vacation. We danced in a Strictly Swing competing with the Big Dogs from California...and guess
who won? Not the Little Doggies from Texas! But we did have fun dancing & meeting some new friends, and one
heck of a vacation....
As we traveled on the 2 hour trip around beautiful
Lake Tahoe, we suddenly found ourselves on a narrow part of the road as the lake opened up on both sides of the road.
What a spectacular view as we stopped perched high on top of the mountain surrounded by a georgeous lakeview on all sides. Simply breathtaking!
There are no bad photos to be taken as you drive around this very picture perfect vacation spot.
You have the best of both worlds...beautiful clear lake and snow covered mountains. This is a wonderful place to visit
no matter what the season. There are many summertime camps with swimming & boating areas. Then there
are ski-slopes for winter fun and play.

Did somebody say it was snowing? Well, what a special
treat for us Texas vacationers. We woke up after our first night in Tahoe to the sound of a strange noise outside our
highrise hotel room. Down below was a busy snowplow clearing the parking lot...

We found the snowmobiles and went for a very exciting experience. Yes, we both had our own snowmobile. We just did double for the photo.
Of course, Kathy just had to do snowangels in the snow!

We had a blast playing the snow like two kids seeing it
for the very first time!

was very cold as it snowed for 2 days.
