This was a fun event, but we were really
newbies in the UCWDC circuit and let's just say we looked really good in our fine outfits...
In the Country & Western competition arena there are two different
sanctioned circuits. One is the United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) and the other is the Fun Country Dance
Circuit. UCWDC rules cover 89 pages whereas the Fun Country rules are 12 pages, thus the name Fun Country.
The above picture represents our first entry into the more rule oriented
UCWDC circuit and we probably broke every rule in the book when we walked out on the dance floor...when they say read the
rules, they mean it. Live and learn and there will always be another competition next month.
